About Us

Founded in 2014, the Institute for Healthcare Quality Improvement and Performance (IHQIP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and accessibility of healthcare for all Somalis. IHQIP was established in response to the urgent need for better healthcare services in Somalia, particularly in the aftermath of the civil war, which had devastated the country's healthcare infrastructure.

Since its founding, IHQIP has worked tirelessly to develop and promote best practices for healthcare providers, offer training and education to healthcare professionals, advocate for policies and reforms that improve healthcare quality and access, provide technical assistance and support to healthcare organizations, and collaborate with other stakeholders in the healthcare system to achieve common goals.

Over the years, IHQIP has grown into a leading voice in the healthcare sector in Somalia, working closely with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups to improve healthcare services and outcomes for millions of people across the country.
