Our team includes subject matter experts in healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, project management, data analysis, education and training, and more. With a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the healthcare sector in Somalia, our staff members work diligently to develop and implement programs, initiatives, and policies that drive positive change and make a real difference in the lives of millions of people.
Founded in 2014, the Institute for Healthcare Quality Improvement and Performance (IHQIP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and accessibility of healthcare for all Somalis. IHQIP was established in response to the urgent need for better healthcare services in Somalia, particularly in the aftermath of the civil war, which had devastated the country's healthcare infrastructure.
At the Institute for Healthcare Quality Improvement and Performance (IHQIP), our mission is to improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of healthcare for all Somalis. We strive to achieve this mission by developing and promoting best practices for healthcare providers, offering training and education to healthcare professionals, advocating for policies and reforms that improve healthcare quality and access, providing technical assistance and support to healthcare organizations, and collaborating with other stakeholders in the healthcare system to achieve common goals. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every Somali has access to high-quality healthcare that meets their needs and improves their lives.
